Beautiful route that takes you up 2 mountains near Reykjavik. Its quite tough and requires some walking but the scenery is magnificent and its well worth the effort. There are also some technical singletracks that can be taken at some speed which are alot of fun. Remember to bring a spare tube. Its a long walk back to town ;)

Today I took my new Specialized Rockhopper 29er for a more serious ride. After some investigation (printout of GPS trail) and searching I managed to find the way. The bike performed well but I had some trouble with the toeclips when biking downhill. Next time I will try the route clockwise, might give more smooth and longer downhill and be easier for first timer. Thanks for your initiative. Great trail.
