I was on school camp nearby and this walk was the activity on one of the days. Pretty easy walk for me, with the views from Tumgun Lookout the highlight.
A wild, natural headland in the heart of the Gold Coast offers walks along the rocky foreshore and through rainforest, with the chance to see whales in winter/spring and sea-eagles soaring along the coast.
Northern entrance; from Burleigh Heads, take the Gold Coast Highway south and turn left into Goodwin Terrace. The car park is situated at the end of the road on the left.
Southern entrance; from Burleigh Heads, take the Gold Coast Highway south and turn left into the car park, just before the Tallebudgera Creek bridge.
Northern entrance; take the Burleigh link track, which includes Jebbribillum Lookout and after 460m it joins the Rainforest Circuit. From there, follow the track in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction, stopping at Tumgun Lookout on the way.
Southern entrance; take the Oceanview track for 250m and turn left onto the Tallebudgera link track for a further 250m, where it joins the rainforest Circuit. . From there, follow the track in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction, stopping at Tumgun Lookout along the way.
Whilst here, why not walk the Oceanview Track (if open) for views along the foreshore.
