FIRST DAY of Cape to Cape Track
from Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse to Mt. Duckworth Campsite

The Cape to Cape track starts at Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse and finishes at Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, crossing the entire Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Par; the most visited national park in Western Australia. The entire track extends over 135 km that can be covered in 4-8 days of impressive scenery, forest hiking, beach walk and rock scrambling.

This day has: a path boardwalk, walk in beach sand, single line trail along the cliffs and 4WD track walk with barely no sun cover.

This track connects to:
- Meelup Reserve Trail
- Cape to Cape Track - DAY 2
cape to Cape starts HERE! There is a cafe near the lighthouse that sells not only coffee but also food, water and souvenirs. The staff may have updates about trail conditions (like: Margaret River mouth crossing).
excellent whale watching spot (on season)
Dry Toilet + Water Tank + 2 Wooden Table NO rubbish disposal - NO fireplace - NO car access The campsite is on the left side of the track and is barely impossible to miss! There is plenty of space for 10 or + small tents in the shade of tea-tree. (Big tents may have problems)
Kabbijgup beach / The 3 Bears (Beach Number: wa0724) The beach is a popular surf spot formed by soft white sand and outer reefs, with the 3 Bears surf break (called Mummy, Baby and Daddy Bear) over the reefs. After +- 3.5km of sand walk (from the stairs to the south end of the beach) climb up the dune path to find a trail mark.
dry toilets + car park NO rubbish bin and NO water
Sign the book and leave the pen INSIDE!
Cross the 4WD road and follow the trail mark
End of beach walk (+-3.5km) in the south end of the Kabbijgup beach and back to the trail.
(trail mark) Keep going along the coast line/cliffs. DO NOT follow the 4WD track!
Take the beach access stairs to Kabbijgup beach.
Straight ahead down the hill
keep walking along the coast line/cliffs

Breathtaking scenery (Sugarloaf Rock is a MUST STOP point!) with lots of beaches on the way. No water and barely no shade either.
Several 4x4 track make the track a bit confusing sometimes, but this trail log is a life saver.
