I’m keeping these summaries short as I’m on a two month tour of Ireland and there’s a lot of hills to hike and therefore lots of entries.
All mapping used are view ranger digital OS 1:50 or 1:25. You will get the best results by uploading my wikiloc gpx giles into this mapping software.
Parking for this route was outside a house but on a public road. I then asked a gentleman who was nearby for info on hill access and he kindly gave me permission to go through his property.
With this said follow my track. This will take you the same way. You will have to go through a field and negotiate a fence and wall.
I went straight up the hill but if i were you I would follow my down route up...it’s easier. With this said it’s steep, boggy and tussocky either way.
You will note my route went over the ridge somewhat. Well this is where peakbagger has the summit marked. It’s way out!
However there are several summits and cairns. I did them all for the views which again are splendid. This is a gorgeous headland!
A 4km bimble with 253m of ascent done in 1hr 28min (stopped for breakfast).
All statistics are taken from my Garmin watch.
