A nice hike with some interesting terrain and excellent views from the southernmost points. The walk starts from a dirt carpark just before a collection of letterboxes at the end of Mt Eerwah Rd. The trail follows a fence, traversing three small gullies before heading uphill. The trail up is quite steep and swings left above a cliffline where care should be taken (there are permanent ropes to assist here if needed). Limited views are available from Mt Eerwah's main Peak so continue walking along the ridge top till you reach some Nepali peace flags and a welcome sign. Continue along the trail steeply downhill and across a rainforest clad saddle before ascending a smaller Peak. Here there are two excellent view points (which can be climbed onto if you are feeling game). One is directly to the east of the south Eerwah Peak whilst the other is a bit further on at the end of the trail on the southern side of the peak. Retrace your steps to return to the starting point.
