1000 Meter above Stari Bar

This is, strictly speaking, not a 4WD trail, as you could do it as well with your low lying Corvette. The first half is on asphalt, and the second half is very good dirt road. But it makes for some good white-knuckle driving, as you crawl on the asphalt around the bends with their sheer drops (when the dirt trail starts, the excitement is over). And some very good views are to be had, down to Bar and the Adriatic Sea.

We also include the trail, because it leads to the trailhead for Rumija Mountain. While in the area, it might be worth visiting Stari Bar and the oldest tree on the European Continent (said to be more than 2000 years old, follow signs to Stara Maslina).

The road is difficult to find out of Stari Bar. Note that the selected road leads across a very narrow bridge (see photograph). If you think your car is wider than a Touareg, go on Google Earth to find an alternative start!
