Itinerary description
Old Cosmodrome can be reached by taxi. Access restriction to foreigners may apply. Route ends in a camp zone after crossing the river, where it is possible to stay overnight in your own tent. If not add three more hours trek till Alma-Arasan.
Can be done in opposite direction while staying in the the camp zone and back.
Ascent to big Almaty peak is very hard due to big rocks in the final part of the route.
There is risk of altitude sickness.
