Itinerary description
There aren’t many marked routes recorded when I searched, so I pinned this one all the way when I found it. Would have done more at the bottom and top but I reached my maximum pinned points.
We started as 4 at 9am, got half way at 12 just before the gradient starts to increase significantly. 2 of us continued and the others went back. We reached the summit at 2pm. Walked along the ridge for about half an hour and got back down at 6pm just before dark.
This marked route is easy to follow, especially from the top down, you could see them for a long stretch almost the whole way down. Hardly any exposures. First half very easy except one scramble at the start, second half much steeper with a few scrambles, lots of solid slabs with good grips to walk on. Rocks are sharp but solid with almost no loose screes. Gloves are recommended.
We did it in 9 hours but probably would have done it between 7-8 if not waited around for the other 2 in the first half.
Overall, it’s challenging but easier than it looks. My legs are still aching after 2 days.

Thank you Jon and Smile.
We followed your recording and advises to hike this trail.

The hike itself is without any trail, always on rough surface, mostly on loose rocks.
Good endurance needed, so marked as difficult.
At the top, the views are simply great and well worth the climb.
Most of the time, we didnt see the markers on ascent, but well visible during descent.
I wish they had painted the markers both ways.
I also feel that we could simply climb up towards the summit as most of the terrain is similar.
Overall a grand hike.
Well done! Glad it was helpful and it went well! Loved the scenery.

Thanks for sharing this, did it over the weekend. A spectacular view but hard up and hard down! Near the top there’s a sharp left which is easy to miss, you don’t summit immediately but continue below the ridge, past several intermediate peaks before the highest point.
You can see the famous beehive tombs below and to the right.
Dear John, do we need to have 4x4 to reach to trailhead?
Yes you do but as you can see, the trailhead is very close to the road so you can walk there easily, it’s nothing compared to the actual mountain anyway. Good luck 🤞
Thank you 🙏
