Itinerary description
Absolutely great trail. It’s seems to be well known but at the same time I met noone. It’s perfect for office clerks to keep them fit but not to knock them down with excessive exercise. Plus beautiful nature, views and some fauna.
I happened to be there after summer rain (yeah!) and the aroma there was just fantastic - velvety sweet of wet forest floor and pines - pity it couldn’t be recorded.
TERRAIN: mostly forest and rocky paths, some parts are very rocky. To have a milder ascent go clockwise on the circle. The other way around will be more steep plus rocky ascent.
Either way you ascend to the top and then descend. Poles are recommended as well as hiking boots.
SEASON: perfect even for summer. Shady on about 60-70% of the trail. If you go in summer in the 2nd half of the day following the route above, the descent will be fully in shade (or ascent if the other way around) due to the sun going behind the mountain.
SIGNS: a few signs are still alive as well as a few benches. In addition there are color spots, so you won’t be lost.
KIDS: not for small kids, starting from 6-7 yo under adult supervision.
Psilo Dentro restaurant is next door. Fresh trout can make a perfect ending to the trail.
There is a possibility to combine part of Pouzaris trail with neighboring Caledonia trail, you can view this option here https://www.wikiloc.com/hiking-trails/caledonia-pouziaris-nature-trails-pano-platres-43824283

The first 1,5 km is quite messy and difficult to understand how to follow. The rest of the trail is good. The strongest expression is that you have a wide variety of road terrain: starting from soil and finishing with cobblestones.

Another superb forest trail with amazing scenery. Unfortunately after reaching the Summit my GPS took me to Beruit. Not sure if the military base had anything to do with that.😡.I will now try to load my wife's trail using a GPX file,🤔. Thanks for another great trail.
@mickred Thank you very much for your review. I hope you enjoyed the trail as much as I did. Don't bother about GPS hiccups, we all have been in Beirut not just once during the last months :)) that's what conflicts in the Middle East lead to.

Great trail! I hiked it with my dog and we both enjoyed it. Be aware that it can get very hot in the summer, so bring plenty of water. The second half of the trail is quite rocky, so you need to be careful — I actually twisted my ankle there. But the view from the highest point is absolutely stunning and makes it all worth it. Thanks for sharing this route!
