Itinerary description
Easy parking in the neighbourhood of De Putjesberg, Wellerlooi, to get started on this varied track.
Especially the first half towards Dikkenberg is amazing with so many highlights in landscapes, with Dikkenberg as the ultimate highlight, ideal for a picknick stop.
This is the part where you experience the national park of Maasduinen at its best, with its great dune areas and undulating moorland.
The second part, although beautiful due to its many small tracks and turns, can best be described as an interesting forest walk, great in autumn naturally, due to the many beautiful colours of the leaves; most of all, the northern red oak (Quercus rubra) !
And what a quiet and silent area with no asphalt trails whatsoever !
